Website Name Payment
Scott, if you pay for it a credit/debit card, it will automatically change the payment to pounds.
Check with your Dad to see if he will cover the cost and I will let you have the cash to cover it.

Re: BPRA Website
Just thinking of a web address and www.birkriggpark.com appears if it's available unless you want something like Birkriggparkra.com to make it more towards the residents association?

Re: BPRA Website
I agree. Personally i think it is very basic and easy to remember. It is the first thing people will type into there computers to find out things about the estate, which will be people mainly thinking about moving to the estate, so hopefully we can create a good impression on them. We also don't have any other websites about the estate so we may as well make this one the general website in which we can create awareness about the residents association. Btw I don't mean change the website

Scott - just for info if you havent bought your web address yet - i use a company called 1 & 1 internet (google them) - they are incredibly cheap for domain names. Just ignore me if you have already bought though!
Good luck with the site

Re: BPRA Website
Sorry people, I've had loads of homework lately so i haven't had the chance to do anything about the website. I'l upload the pictures soon and I'l take a look at 1 & 1 Internet as i think that will be easier as the current website is American so it's obviously a different currency!
Also, Alex, what do you mean by ranks??
Cheers Scott

On phpbb bulletin forums you can add ranks to people for how much they contribute to the forum, you dont have to put them it's just fun, you can see what i mean by going to profile and there will be an empty box for rank under my name

Re: BPRA Website
Yeah but if anyone wants to take picture, write a poem about a tree or anything silly like that then do so and I'l put them on the website. I've been on holiday so it isn't done yet but im uploading the final pics at the moment and with luck it should be done by the end of the day!!!
Re: BPRA Website
Also, if we do the carols on the Green or a New Year party and people need to buy tickets, I could make tickets and sell them over the internet as I can add a shop on the website. This would save us going to peoples houses every night as people may get annoyed and won't go! Just a suggestion
Re: BPRA Website
Sorry but the ticket idea will not work. Charging people to get on the green will not work as technically unless it was owned by the BPRA then anyone is allowed to go anywhere they like. The idea is fundementally flawed and will not work but you could make money out of it by sellking things such as mulled wine at the event.
